Terms of Service
By joining the Ember SMP Minecraft server, its Discord or this website, you agree to these terms and to our server rules. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
Accounts
You need a legitimate Minecraft account to play. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Players under the age required in their country must have permission from a parent or guardian, including for any purchase.
Virtual items
Ranks, keys, cosmetics and in-game currency are virtual items with no real-world value. They are licensed to you for use on the server, can't be exchanged for money and may change as the game is balanced. Seasons, maps and economies may be reset.
Bans and termination
We may mute, suspend or ban any account that breaks the rules or harms the community. Purchased items are not refunded when an account is punished.
No warranty
The server is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it online and fair, but we can't guarantee uptime or that progress will never be lost, and we are not liable for indirect losses.
Not affiliated with Mojang
We are not an official Minecraft service and are not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Purchases are made with us, not with Mojang.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new version.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your Minecraft username and UUID, and the IP address you connect from (used for security and to stop ban evasion).
- Chat messages, commands and gameplay statistics, used for moderation, leaderboards and fixing problems.
- Purchase details from our store provider (username, package, date). Payments are handled by the payment processor; we never see your card details.
How we use it
Only to run the server: moderation, anti-cheat, support, statistics and delivering purchases. We don't sell your data.
This website
The site doesn't use tracking cookies. It stores small preferences in your browser (for example a dismissed announcement or which vote sites you used today). To show live numbers it asks public services for the server's player count (mcstatus.io) and the Discord member count (discord.com).
Your choices
You can ask us what data we hold about you or ask us to delete it by emailing support@embersmp.net. Moderation records may be kept as long as needed to keep the server safe.
Refund Policy
Store purchases are digital goods delivered instantly, so all sales are final once the items are delivered to your account.
- If something you bought was not delivered, contact us within 14 days with your username and transaction ID and we'll fix it.
- Opening a chargeback or payment dispute results in a permanent ban of the related accounts.
- Purchases are not refunded when an account is punished for breaking the rules.
